Us or them?

We pride over the fact that unlike the other employees in our office, we give 110% attention to our work.

We are ready to miss birthdays, anniversaries, festivals and other important occasions whenever duty calls.

There are others who take leave to attend the smallest of events like their child's school event, or their neighbors birthday party.

Sometimes I wonder who is right? Us or them?

Regret...

I want to go to Australia this summer.

Dude, concentrate on your exams, you have your whole life ahead.. you can travel to Australia whenever you need once you complete your education!!

:(

Lesson learnt?

Two years back my brother taught me that there is more to life than worrying over the day to day silly things that we come across.. He taught this to me the hard way and I made a promise to myself that I will change...for the good.
Here I am twenty six months later the same old ass that I was.

Moral of the story: An ass remains an ass...no matter what.

Moving on...

Prologue:

A morning in magenta, the petals fed from the dew.
She held her breath for a moment, to pause off the stream.
Still clinging to vast, old memories.
And I would marvel at her beauty, playing through the rain.
The coffin is beautifully engraved.
Stained by soil, symbols of death.
All of which are stared upon, with porcelain eyes it seems.
Some spoke, and it was my turn to go.
In death entwined, I could not believe.
But it hangs around my neck.
A soft breeze passed me by, somewhat warmer for a second.
I knew it was the coming of spring

Epilogue:

There it was.
The final destiny.
A sunrise that never came,
still the night lamp that never faded away.
Farewell was the word,
and the afterglow was the brave morning.
Rising and telling everyone
about the beauty of its PROLOGUE.
