The Stoneman Murders

The movie is set in Mumbai in the early 80s, when a serial-killer, nicknamed as the "Stoneman" by the media, was on the prowl. Temporarily suspended sub-inspector Sanjay Shelar (Kay Kay), gets a nod from the commissioner to parallely investigate the case. If Kay Kay is successful, his suspension would be cancelled and he would be able to resume his duties. But the condition is, during his investigation, he cannot disclose that he is working for the commissioner. However, posing as the biggest roadblock to Sanjay is Inspector Kedar Phadke (Arbaaz Khan), the officer who is in-charge of the case. As both of them do their investigation, delving deeper into the case, their ways clash. On the other hand, the killer continues to haunt the streets of Mumbai, claiming victim after victim.

The movie a tight thriller which keeps the viewer guessing the true identity of the killer right till the end of the film. The movie is perfectly paced and the sound and cinematography are excellent. Also the movie is just around 100 minutes long, ensuring that there is no space for unnecessary stuff. The movie sticks to its course and never strays offtrack.

Kay Kay, as usual is brilliant. The others don't get much screen presence.

If you love suspense, don't miss this one..
