Gulaal

Gulaal is yet another Anurag Kashyap masterpiece. The movie is about a Rajput student, who unwillingly gets dragged into college politics. The college politics is eventually controlled by a set of powerful people, who dictate terms and use the college money for their mean motives.
Gulaal is about fanaticism, courage, betrayal, ruthlessness and also about "The Rajput's way of life".
The movie has a good pace and incidents happening at regular intervals keep you guessing. The cast is near perfect and all the characters have done a great job.
All in all its a movie that shouldn't be missed.

Note: One of my friends didnt like the end of the movie. "It was a big let down" as per him. On the other hand I feel the end is perfect. So let me know your views after watching the movie.

Dear Friend,

I agree with your points that gulaal is a good movie but there are few things I would like to share. I myself have watched this movie twice and enjoyed it, as you said that casting was near perfect, few questions are still unanswered such as what was the need of the character Jesse Randhawa why was it not explored, she comes and goes. Abhimanyu Singh did extremly well but the character was suddenly cut off. Piyush Mishra was amazing and so was Kay Kay, how can one forget Bhaati (Deepak Dobriyal). Ins short the movie is must watch for people who really likes some different stories apart from sharukh romance and bare chest salman or innovative Aamir.
Xlent score and lyrics by Piyush Mishra, cinematography was stylish the art was truly amazing.
Lastly I admire the way Anurag Kyshup makes his films he really has guts to creat something so offbeat.
Kudos to him.
