IPL won't be same in South Africa: Warne

"It ll be nothing like if it was in India, and its a shame it cant be in India. It wont be the same as being in India, but hopefully the South African public will get behind it and turn up to the ground and make it a great spectacle." Sounds like he is dying to come to India!!

If I remember correctly, Warne and some of his fellow Aussie cricketers had a different song to sing earlier. Prior to IPL it was a different ball game altogether. For every series to be played in India, there would be a lot of hue and cry over Indian conditions w.r.t security, climate, pollution, etc, etc which prevented these GREAT players to represent their National team in India. Shane Warne, Mcgrath, etc always had some excuse to skip playing on Indian soil.

IPL changed everything. Money was thrown around. The same GREAT players are disappointed that the IPL wont be held on Indian Soil.
